| Cranberry the donkey (aka "Cranny") was born on Thanksgiving day 12 years ago on a horse farm in Manassas, VA. She was always getting into trouble by trying to break out of the fencing and go where the grass was greener. Cranny was about to go to auction when Veronica Vansco asked to bring her to PA approximately ten years ago. She likes standing with Dinah and Shadow when there is a lot of wind as they help protect her. She has been with those two horses the longest (about nine years now) and feels right at home with them and the other horses. If the horses start giving her a hard time, she just kicks up her back feet and runs away or runs to Dinah who will protect her as Dinah is dominant in all the herds she has been in since coming to PA.
Cranny is not shy about braying when she is interested in getting food or wants attention. She also loves to roll in the dust and will move at her own speed when coming or leaving the barn. Although she isn't part of the riding program she is definitely a part of the "group" and the other horses would be lost without her. Cranny deserves her own page for this reason.
